Caffeic Acid Inhibits Tumour Mass Formation in MG-63 Cells-induced Nude Mice

چکیده

BACKGROUND: Formation of tumour mass is one symptom osteosarcoma development. Caffeic acid has been known to provide effective treatment but less side effect for some cancer therapy. Studies reported that caffeic might promote apoptosis in MG-63 cells, however, the preventing formation not well elucidated, especially cells-induced nude mice vivo.METHODS: cells were pre-treated with 0, 1, or 10 µg/mL acid, and 6 hours after pre-treatment, injected into subcutaneous space induce osteosarcoma. Another model was also created by subcutaneously injecting back mice, 48 days, visible intra-tumour 0 every 7 days times. After 90 anaesthetised, nodule pictures taken observation measurement. RESULTS: In volumes decreased reverse dose given. Ten pre-treatment able significantly lower volume compared untreated (p<0.05). Meanwhile, even though significant, inhibit formation.CONCLUSION: Results show formation. This suggests can be a potential anti-cancer agent.KEYWORDS: osteosarcoma,

Ascorbic acid inhibits nicotine-induced behavioral sensitization in male mice

Repeated administration of nicotine causes incentive and behavioral sensitization in animals. Ascorbic acid administration inhibits some effects of nicotine. In the present study, the effect of ascorbic acid administration on nicotine-induced behavioral sensitization in Male Swiss-Webster mice (20-25 g) was investigated. Animals were injected with nicotine (0.25 mg/kg, i.p.) once daily for seve...

Biphasic Response to Luteolin in MG-63 Osteoblast-Like Cells under High Glucose‑Induced Oxidative Stress

Background: Clinical evidence indicates the diabetes-induced impairment of osteogenesis caused by a decrease in osteoblast activity. Flavonoids can increase the differentiation and mineralization of osteoblasts in a high-glucose state. However, some flavonoids such as luteolin may have the potential to induce cytotoxicity in osteoblast-like cells. This study was performed to investigate whether...

A nutrient mixture inhibits glioblastoma xenograft U-87 MG growth in male nude mice.

BACKGROUND Brain tumors are highly aggressive tumors characterized by secretions of high levels of matrix metalloproteinase-2 and -9, leading to tumor growth, invasion and metastasis by digesting the basement membrane and extracellular matrix components. We previously demonstrated the effectiveness of a nutrient mixture (NM) containing ascorbic acid, lysine, proline, and green tea extract in vi...
